California based Owner/Manager and third-party Commercial Property Management firm is seeking a Property Assistant / Assistant Property Manager to work out of Oakland or Foster City to support buildings in the peninsula area. Position will have the opportunity to build on property management skills and develop skills further in financial reporting/knowledge. Position will support a Director who will mentor YOU and continue to develop your career. Company provides a professional environment that is team oriented and continually growing! What are my Responsibilities?

  • Managing vendors (maintenance, janitorial, concierge services per building)
  • Managing tenant construction or building improvement processes
  • Assisting Manager with showing space
  • Assisting in preparing CAM's
  • Corresponding with existing and prospective clients
  • Partnering with Manager to create yearly budgets
  • Tracking actual to budget and preparing variance reports
  • Reviewing property payables and receivables
  • Communicating with tenants with late payments or delays
  • Acting as an Ambassador and face of company for tenants
  • Coordinating tenant functions, and amenities for the building
  • Scheduling routine building maintenance
  • Handling tenant move-in and move-outs
  • Managing tenant and vendor compliance
  • Continuing development of property management career

What are the requirements?

  • Minimum of 2 years as a Property Administrator, plus 1-2 years as an Assistant Property Manager - open to a Property Admin moving up
  • Must be willing to visit properties in the peninsula area as needed
  • Four-year degree is required
  • Word, Excel, Outlook and internet proficiency
