The salary range for the Hotel Manager position is $95,000 to $105,000 per year plus a quarterly bonus plan eligibility.

Nationally: $31.30 - $39.90

What will you be doing most days?

  1. Lead the property in the generation of revenue through sales and marketing efforts
  2. Maintain strong knowledge of and relationships in the local market
  3. Manage relationships with hotel vendors and negotiate service agreements as appropriate
  4. Review financial reports and statements to understand the property’s performance versus its budget and expenses while working to determine areas of concern and develop strategies to improve performance
  5. Coach and support hotel team to effectively manage occupancy, rates, wages, and controllable expenses. Strive to accomplish financial goals while ensuring guest and team member satisfaction.
  6. Manage costs within the hotel, including supplies, labor, utilities, food, and beverage expenses, within budgeted parameters
  7. Ensure service, technical skills, and other training occur throughout the property
  8. Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with direct reports and the entire team
  9. Establish a presence with team members on property, actively solicit feedback, and utilize an “open door” policy
  10. Hire team members demonstrating strong functional expertise, creativity, and leadership
  11. Observe service behaviors of team members and provide feedback to individuals and/or supervisors
  12. Review comment cards, guest survey results, and other data to identify areas for improvement
  13. Analyze service issues, identify trends, and facilitate the development of creative solutions
  14. Interface with customers regularly to obtain feedback on product quality, service levels, and satisfaction
  15. Ensure the building is well maintained and operational areas meet or exceed guest expectations
  16. Administer policies fairly and consistently; evaluate and recognize team member performance where appropriate
  17. Work to ensure the property meets franchise standards and is a safe, secure environment for guests and staff

What are the requirements for this position?

  1. Minimum of 5 years of progressive hotel management experience
  2. Proven success in leadership of teams and guest service results
  3. Financial acumen to work with and understand financial data
  4. Bachelor’s degree or extensive relevant work experience
  5. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and effective listening skills
  6. Leadership over direct sales efforts producing at least 50% market revenue
  7. Valid driver’s license from the appropriate state
  8. Exceptional time management and multitasking skills
  9. Customer-focused with a commitment to employee and guest satisfaction

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.

Travel Requirements

This position may require occasional travel.
