1st Shift $20-$25/Hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must file all Electronic Export Information documents required by the Automated Export System of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Census Bureau. Follow and comply with all U.S. export regulations. Responsible for ensuring that the company has complied with all federal rules and standards concerning packaging and shipping. In charge of putting documentation packs together for overseas Shipments and clients, communicate with those program offices and clients concerning their shipments and alert overseas agents in advance of the shipments. Must track the movement of the freight to its final destination and trace the cause of any delays or other problems with the shipment. Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment which will include: packaging, addressing and shipping the merchandise; Receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material. Determine shipping method for materials using Sale Order information. Route materials to various departments throughout the company. Record shipment data, including weight, charges and space availability. Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record keeping purposes. Complete shipping and receiving reports. Maintain inventory of shipping supplies. Perform other duties as assigned. INTERACTION: Work and communicate effectively with all division employees including but not limited to: Production, Operations, Engineering, Sales, Quality Control, and Management. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma required plus 4-7 years of experience. Must have a clean DMV record. Knowledge of international shipping procedures, documentation requirements, procurement principles, and processes. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and forklift. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is indoors in a warehouse where safety procedures must always be followed.
