UHealth at SoLé Mia will also deliver the latest in urologic treatments from the renowned Desai Sethi Urology Institute as well as top-notch care from UHealth’s nationally ranked neurology and neurosurgery programs. UHealth/SoLé Mia has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Surgical Scheduler with a hire date of March 2025. Core job functions include obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures as required by insurance companies; overseeing, producing, and distributing all surgical and procedural schedules to physicians and departments; collaborating with patients, families, staff, and providers within the office and the greater community to schedule surgeries, pre-op physicals, and testing; coordinating with hospitals and vendors for special cases or circumstances; identifying ways to streamline surgical scheduling process and providing suggestions to managing staff; ensuring electronic systems and scheduling tools are up-to-date and operating smoothly, and contacting appropriate personnel to resolve any issues; ensuring documentation is complete to support accurate billing of surgical procedures; adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguarding University assets. The list of duties and responsibilities may be expanded as necessary. Core qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form, skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail, ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion, ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment, and proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
