Who We’re Looking For

You are the engine behind our member acquisition strategy. Conducting rigorous, creative, and precise research to identify, profile, and source contact details for extraordinary candidates who align with our vision. Reporting to the Director of Member Acquisition, you will use your analytical acumen, investigative mindset, and intuition for talent to build a robust, high-quality pipeline. This role is ideal for someone relentless, detail-obsessed, and strategically curious. Combining the instincts of a journalist, the focus of an analyst, and the eye of a top-tier recruiter.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep research to identify high-value candidates across sectors (technology, investment, medicine, wellness, media, research, corporate innovation) who embody our values of excellence, influence, and impact.
  • Develop detailed candidate profiles, including demographics, professional backgrounds, motivations, pain points, and alignment with our membership criteria, to inform targeted outreach strategies.
  • Source accurate, up-to-date contact information ( email addresses, LinkedIn profiles, phone numbers) through advanced research techniques, ensuring accessibility for recruitment efforts.
  • Utilize data-driven tools, CRM systems (HubSpot, Pipedrive), and research platforms to track, organize, and prioritize leads, maintaining a comprehensive database of prospects.
  • Analyze industry trends, thought leadership, and talent pools to proactively uncover emerging leaders and niche influencers for recruitment consideration.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Member Acquisition to refine candidate archetypes and selection criteria, ensuring alignment with community themes and strategic goals.
  • Deliver 500–750 fully profiled prospects per month to support pipeline velocity and outreach personalization.
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager to identify candidates active on professional platforms, leveraging digital footprints to enhance outreach precision.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion, upholding our brand’s ethos of integrity and professionalism in all research activities.
  • Streamline research processes, proposing innovative tools or methods to improve efficiency and accuracy in candidate sourcing.
  • Provide actionable insights from research to optimize recruitment strategies, such as identifying high-potential referral networks or untapped talent pools.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in research-intensive roles, such as investigative journalism, market research, competitive intelligence, talent scouting, or recruitment research.
  • Proven ability to conduct deep, multi-source research, synthesizing complex information into concise, actionable profiles or reports.
  • Expertise in advanced research tools and platforms to source contact details and professional insights.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and data management tools to organize and track large volumes of candidate data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a track record of delivering accurate, high-quality research under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting clear, compelling candidate summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt research methods to evolving priorities and community needs.
  • Familiarity with premium professional networks (Chief, YPO, TED Fellows) is a plus. but not required.
