Public Relations Coordinator (1-3 years of experience)

Type: Full-Time Hybrid (2 days in-office, 3 days remote)

The American Staffing Association (ASA) is the voice of the staffing and workforce solutions industry, driving engagement and positive perceptions nationwide. We’re seeking a dynamic Public Relations Coordinator to elevate our media presence and enhance industry storytelling through strategic communication and social engagement.

What You’ll Do

As our Public Relations Coordinator , you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing ASA’s communications strategy. Working closely with the Public Relations Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with public relations, social media, and marketing initiatives to boost ASA’s visibility
• Filming, editing, and producing videos and graphics while maintaining ASA’s branding guidelines
• Developing and scheduling engaging social media content, with a strong focus on LinkedIn
• Coordinating and executing paid and organic social media campaigns
• Writing compelling content for various mediums—including news releases, articles, video scripts, and web copy
• Managing news distribution, media lists, and tracking key performance metrics
• Supporting annual industry awards programs and related communications
• Conducting daily news monitoring and preparing reports for senior management
• Providing backup support for media inquiries

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings creativity, collaboration, and a keen eye for detail. Required qualifications include:

• A bachelor’s degree, with internship experience in a related field preferred
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects), Canva, and Microsoft Office
• Videography and video/audio editing expertise; photography skills preferred
• Strong social media writing and research abilities
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
