Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world's transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal to dramatically improve people's quality of life while protecting the environment. This goal will be accomplished through the commercialization of the fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation to accommodate the expansion of variable renewables.

Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer to join our Safety Analysis team. In this role, you will collaborate with team members to perform detailed analyses that are critical to the development and licensing of the Kairos Power FHR. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting effluent and postulated-event simulations of FHR systems, documenting key analysis outputs, and supporting licensing interactions with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Additional responsibilities will include interfacing with design, instrumentation and control, materials, chemistry, and other teams to fully define the FHR safety case. This work will play a vital role in supporting the reactor design process and licensing our advanced reactor. This position provides a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of reactor safety analysis and licensing, contributing to the development of transformative nuclear technologies.
