As a nuclear engineer on our team , you will support the develop ment of new reactor and fuel cycle technologies by providing advi c e and guidance on the design, evaluation, and management of government and private sector sponsored Research and Development (R&D) programs. You Have: 5+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research pertaining to nuclear science or engineering Ability to travel up to 15%of the time Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Doctorate degreein N uclear Engineering or S cience Nice If You Have: 2+ years of experience in postdoctoral, academic, or industry roles related to neutronics simulation and fuel performance codes, thermal hydraulics, or reactor materials and manufacturing Experience in an advisory role Ability to demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness when dealing with uncertainty and ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking Possession of excellent communication, organizational, client service, and analytical skills Vetting: Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
