As a Loan Processor, you’ll be the key driver behind smooth, accurate, and timely loan processing for our members! This role offers a dynamic blend of customer service, compliance, and loan processing, where you’ll guide each loan from initial application through to funding with precision and care. Job Summary In this role, you’ll take charge of processing loans received over the phone or in person, handling everything from documentation to closing and funding. You’ll be a vital link in ensuring our loans comply with Federal, State, and local laws, along with NCUA Regulations, HUD guidelines, and our company’s lending policies. Every day, you’ll work to ensure seamless compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) policies, helping our institution maintain security and integrity. Key Responsibilities Drive Loan Processing Excellence: Process, close, and fund approved loans, ensuring each package is complete with all collateral and security documentation. Verify and Validate: Conduct essential verifications, including income, rental, and employment checks, to keep the loan process on track. Prepare Closing Packages: Create and send closing documents to customers, attorneys, or sources for smooth transactions. Customer Engagement: Conduct final customer interviews, fund loans, and disburse funds to the right parties with accuracy and efficiency. Organize and Track: Develop tracking systems for titles and ensure completed packages are returned in a timely manner. Customer Service Support: Be a knowledgeable resource, assisting customers and internal team members with inquiries over the phone, email, or letters. Pipeline Management: Complete weekly follow-ups to maximize funding ratios and maintain a detailed pipeline report for ongoing tracking and completion. Relationship Building: Provide members with loan product information, cross-sell products, and build valuable, trust-based relationships with our credit union members. Required No prior experience required, but experience with manufactured housing or auto loan processing is strongly preferred!
