The Mosaic Company is seeking Maintenance Mechanics to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance of plant or mine equipment and machinery according to manufacturer and company standards safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include using hand tools, torches, welding equipment, pneumatic and electric tools, and precision measuring tools to repair or replace equipment such as pumps, fans, turbines, gearboxes, piping, conveyors, large rotating equipment, draglines, and dredges. The role requires adherence to safety protocols including PPE, Pre Job Hazard Analysis, Lock-out Tag-out, Hot Work, Confined Space, and others. Participation in safety meetings and training is mandatory. Duties include repairing machinery per job plans, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, lubrication, and other tasks such as crane signaling, rigging, operating overhead cranes, and possibly training and certification for operating boom trucks, forklifts, and aerial lifts. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED preferred, with vocational or technical training preferred, and 4 years of related industrial mechanical experience or completion of an apprenticeship. Phosphate industry experience is preferred. The role requires basic computer skills, good organizational skills, ability to work independently or in teams, and compliance with safety procedures. Physical demands include working outdoors in varying temperatures, climbing stairs, working at heights, lifting 25-50 lbs regularly, and working in tight spaces. The position offers a competitive wage of $35.33/hr, bonus incentives, paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k with company match, tuition reimbursement, and overtime eligibility.
