Title IA Engineer/Cyber Security Engineer Role Overview KBR is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Engineer II/Cyber Security Engineer to support Cyber Security Research and Software Data Analysis for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) AIRWorks team (Proposal) . This role involves ensuring the security and integrity of classified and unclassified systems and networks supporting research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) for critical aerospace systems. Responsibilities Perform cyber security research, analysis, and engineering for AIRWorks project teams supporting various aircraft platforms, including security risk assessments, test planning, and RMF implementation. Collaborate with government stakeholders, engineering teams, and cyber professionals to ensure effective security measures and provide regular updates and recommendations. Ensure compliance with Navy, DoD, and federal cyber security standards. Support risk assessments, test planning, and RMF tasks. Research, design, and develop cybersecurity solutions that incorporate required security features and comply with development processes. Develop and execute cyber security test plans to validate system security, including vulnerability assessments. Support security documentation development, such as SAPs, monitoring strategies, and test plans. Assist in managing authorization packages in eMASS, including documentation and POA&M creation. Help identify, respond to, and resolve security incidents, providing guidance on program protection and physical security. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma & 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security or related field. Certifications: CompTIA Security+, with CISSP preferred. Active Top Secret clearance with recent SSBI. Familiarity with RMF, eMASS, and cyber security concepts and tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting NAWCAD AIRWorks program. Knowledge of secure design for aircraft systems (e.g., F-35, MQ-25). Experience with classified systems and secure networks. Additional certifications like CASP+, CEH, CISM, CySA+. Experience with Agile or DevSecOps environments. Strong communication skills and proactive risk mitigation experience. Background in ethical hacking, penetration testing, or intrusion testing.
