General Superintendent – Underground Wet Utilities

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Superintendent to oversee all field operations for underground wet utility construction projects, including the installation of water, sewer, storm drain, and fire line systems. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing superintendents, foremen, and field crews to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
This role is ideal for a proactive professional with deep field expertise, strong people management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving construction environment. What You’ll Do
Oversee daily field operations across multiple active job sites, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and safety/quality standards
Supervise superintendents, foremen, and crews, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations
Review construction plans and specifications, ensuring accuracy and constructability
Coordinate materials, equipment, manpower, inspections, and logistics to maintain efficient workflows
Lead safety efforts, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and company safety policies
Organize and lead regular project meetings, foreman check-ins, and site audits
Resolve field conflicts creatively and efficiently to minimize delays and maintain momentum
Collaborate closely with project managers, the director of construction, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Monitor equipment use and resource allocation, ensuring optimal productivity and proper maintenance
