DME Biller (Medicare Part B) – Assisted Living Experience Required

Location: Bardonia, NY

Department: Billing Salary: $50,000-$65,000

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced DME Biller to manage the billing and claims process for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) under Medicare Part B, specifically for residents in assisted living facilities. This role requires expertise in Medicare guidelines, documentation compliance, claim submission, and follow-up to ensure timely reimbursements and minimal denials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit DME claims to Medicare Part B, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage, considering assisted living facility requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, meeting Medicare’s standards.
  • Track and follow up on claims, denials, and payment discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on Medicare Part B policies and changes affecting DME billing.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and reporting for internal audits.
  • Communicate effectively with facility staff, patients, and families regarding billing inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in DME billing (Medicare Part B).
  • Strong knowledge of HCPCS codes, insurance verification, and claims processing.
  • Experience working with assisted living facilities required.
  • Proficiency in medical billing software and EHR systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills for working with patients, families, and facility staff.
