Alan Gray LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Reinsurance Claims Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing reinsurance claims, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and conducting detailed claims analysis. We are seeking candidates with reinsurance claim adjusting experience with casualty lines of insurance (environmental and/or asbestos experience is a plus). In addition, the successful candidate will have knowledge of treaties/bordereau and understanding of reinsurance contract language.

You will work closely with internal teams, including finance and accounting, to support data management and reporting needs. This position requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of reinsurance contracts, and the ability to manage a diverse claims portfolio. Primary Responsibilities

• Review client claim submissions to ensure accuracy, confirm coverage per contract terms, and verify all required supporting documentation is received.
• Process and record claims in the claims management system.
• Conduct detailed claims analysis, including reconciliation of inception-to-date claim balances and tracking aggregate deductibles and/or reinstatement premium calculations as applicable.
• Generate reports and analyze data to effectively manage the claims portfolio.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to support data-related needs.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in reinsurance claims management, including processing, coverage verification, and reporting.
• Experience in casualty claims is required, environmental and/or asbestos claims experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance contracts and the ability to apply contract terms and conditions to submitted losses.
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
