Advanced CNC Programmer and Operator Position Summary:

As a Advanced CNC Programmer and Operator, you will play a pivotal role in the production process, working with cutting-edge technology and software to create precision parts for our innovative products. Company: High Temperature Superconductors, Inc. is a leading manufacturing company specializing in high-quality superconducting products. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machinist to join our team in Santa Barbara, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate Haas machines using CamWorks, Solidworks, Autodesk, or Mastercam software.
• Utilize geometry extraction software and conversational programming on Acurite controllers for knee mill operations.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to create and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Perform quality control checks and ensure parts meet tight tolerances and specifications.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and optimize machine performance.
• Train and mentor junior machinists, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in programming and operating Haas machines with various software programs.
• Experience with conversational programming on Acurite controllers for knee mills.
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of various materials and their machining properties.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $70,000 - $110,000 annual salary or $40 - $60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
